Utaroku's serious coughing is because of smoking. No wonder I find it weird that he is different when he was young.
Haku is always the same.
I can tell that Enshi's way of speaking is a little slow when she was young.
But, Utaroku looks fine when he was young. Smoking is really bad for health.

Sad that master died it would have been for him to hang out with the present Bunko and Mameda,I can imagine Bunko teasing or scolding him

So the reason she's into rakugo is because she miss the good old times.

They say, to kill a kitsune you have to strike its heart with a dagger or cut off its head.
But, those human have forgot that fact and that guy seems to give Bunko a headsplit from front. Probably after they leave her corpse there, her body slowly regenerate. Yes, self-regeneration is an ability kitsune born with.

But, still... with 7 tails, a kitsune is strong enough. Bunko is too kind to not unleash even a tiny portion of her power against the human.

Could just be anaemic or diseased in some other way. You don't get pale skin from just smoking, and smoking only makes you cough if you're a serious chainsmoker, like 10 packs a day. Given how leisurely he smokes, I doubt that's the cause.

I find it interesting how Utaroku doesn't wear the traditional Japanese clothing. It really goes to show just how much Japan is modernising. My only question is, given that it's the Taisho era, that would mean the Samurai are no longer around, right? The Satsuma rebellion occurred in the Meiji era, so they're long gone by this point.

Bunko was a heartless bitch in that final scene with her master! She could have at least be honest with him and say that without him she never would have gotten to where she is! Its a basic courtesy for before someone dies to acknowledge their impact in your life! Really rude and cruel to die like that! :'(

Rakugo is the only way Bunko can reconcile with people, and her master knew that. Now Bunko's trying to do the same for Mameda.
